Galway City Museum is located behind the famous Spanish Arch, overlooking the River Corrib. The museum tells the story of Galway City and its surroundings through artwork and artefacts spanning from medieval times to the present day.
It is open Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year, with additional Sunday opening from Easter to mid September. Admission is free.
