Jameson Court - the background
Jameson Court is a short stay apartment company based in Galway and created in 2008. Our interiors allow for a luxurious home from home feel while allowing the guest comfort and functionality.
Guests stay with us from as little as one night to extended periods of weeks or months.
We have a strong company ethos: we put our guests at the centre of every decision we make. We combine style with comfort, practicality and excellent service. We also believe in treating our team well and respecting the environment.
Jameson Court has 28 short stay apartments in the lovely seaside Village of Salthill, 15 minutes' walk from the medieval Galway City. The apartments are split into two blocks, Village and Seaview Apartments and the two blocks are linked by a Private Courtyard.
How did it all begin?
Our co-founders, Jonathan Powell and Elaine Boyle first met while working at Jameson Hotel which was located on the site now occupied by Jameson Court Short Stay Apartments. They later married and now have four boys who are always on hand during busy times.
Jameson Court was born to give the guest a luxurious alternative to a hotel. Jameson Court started out with corporate guests, but they were soon joined by families and tourists who liked what they saw and wanted an alternative to a bog standard hotel room.
We’re proudly independent and owned by our co-founders:
Elaine Boyle – co-founder
Elaine has day to day responsibility for running the company and often works in reception while behind the scenes manages all the financial aspects of the business. She began her career in Finance, later working in Head Office for largest Hotel Chain in Ireland at the time – Jury’s.
Jonathan is Hotel Manager trained and has worked in a broad spectrum of Hotels before Co – founding Jameson Court. Jonathan is responsible for the day to day running of the company together with maintenance and upkeep of all apartments.
Elaine and Jonathan are supported by a loyal team of hospitality professionals who have been in the industry for quite some time.
Our Guest Relations Manager, Mary has been part of our team since 1999 in Jameson’s Hotel and Our Groups Manager Caitriona joined us on an internship over 5 years ago and today is an important part of our Management Team.
